When I first visited Cathedral Beach that morning, there were two people photographing this area so I found a different location. I got some interesting frozen reflections by El Capitan. I came back around 1:30PM and surprised to see the first area I visited still had some ice. Even better, it was in the sun which highlighted some of the colors.

Nice image. I'm envious of the time you spend just wandering around, taking your time to get the composition and lighting just the way you want it.
