I shots these rollers of my buddy's Subaru a couple months ago. Don't do too many of them but I'm pretty happy with the way they came out. I'm open to any constructive criticism though

Love it, I'm a big fan of scoobies, (We own 2!) the only thing i think seems to be that the pictures seem almost cartoon like!!??

Lol Hahahaha. Not laughing at you I've just never heard that one before. What do you mean cartoon like?

Oh and I forgot to mention. I took these while driving around 50mph, in a slight rain, head and camera out the window, looking backwards. But hey! I was wearing my seatbelt lol I think.

I believe you, it was picture number 1 that looks a little strange in the bonnet and shut lines. Can't quite put my finger on it.

This is the closest i can find to it:

You were driving with your head out the window looking backwards.
Hopefully one hand was still on the wheel, or were you kneeing it?
I like the effect in #1. Maybe you boosted saturation and contrast. It looks like a painting.

I like both of them (shots and editing), nice job! What's the exif on these? I think they'd be a little more powerful if maybe there was more motion blur to the landscape?

Also, not sure I would be admitting to taking these shots while driving 50 mph, looking backwards out the window on wet pavement  I don't know you, so I'm not going to say you're stupid, but maybe that wasn't the best idea? Stay safe man!

I like them.

I think the first one is a lot stronger than the second.
You might clone out that little artifact in the middle of the front bumper - not sure if it's a weird reflection, or a little dent, or what.
And maybe burn down a little bit in the front windshield - for a commercial look, the driver's face is a little distracting.

The second could be much stronger with a different framing. I'd like to see the empty space in front of the car instead of behind it. If the car is driving to the right, put some space over there so it's not about to drive right out of the frame.

I think the "cartoonish" look is from the cranked-up contrast and saturation. I don't find it objectionable. If anything, I might reduce the saturation of the brown/green hills and background, and leave the car and road stripes oversaturated as they are.

I would try to get a little more side profile of the car. Keep the shutter at 1/60th and adjust your aperture to set the exposure. You will shoot fast enough to have the car sharp but slow enough to get that nice wheel motion.

That's exactly what I did. I believe these were even 1/50 or 1/40th of a second.
