I think you did pretty well on focus for the front four, assuming that the middle is farther back. But the deformity on the second from right kind of spoils the mood I think.

The candles were twisted in the hot water into "wavy" shapes by the kids - not a single one is actually straight, they are just mounted under different angles.

The last two (twisted together, they separated a bit by the time I took the photo) are indeed farther back. I actually hoped to get even more separation between them, but I'd need an f1.4 lens for that.
