I currently own a Canon 60D & shoot 95% motorsport/motocross. Is the 7D Mk11 a worthwile upgrade option or should I be saving up for
a 5D Mk11. opinions greatly appreciated.

From previous experience, a Canon 60D offers no shortcomings when used for motorsports. Examples:

If you wan to upgrade, consider a lens first. Just don't expect miracles from a new camera body.

I have both 5D2 & 7D2. I shot racing cars in November with the 5D2. The FPS is just not fast enough, IMO. I shot another race car event 2 weeks ago with the newly acquired 7D2. Night and day difference!! The 10fps is insane and the focus system locks on with ease!

Perhaps you are referring to the 5D3, as the 5D2 and 7D2 are about the same price. If that is the case, I think the 7D2 will serve you well! It's made for motor heads ;-)a
