I shot one on a D7000 for a while. It did a pretty good job from memory. 400mm seemed a little softer than 350mm but was still pretty good

Should be about as good as the 70-300ED Vr was but with the extra 100mm I hav ebeen told?

Any tips on getting the best IQ and AF ability out of the 120-400? I shoot mainly planes and BIF and was hoping the AF in the lens is upto moving subjects.
