That is a corking good price and a very good lens to boot, what body would you put it on?

I will put it on my D300 most likely. That is if I keep it...may turn around and try selling for 275ish =) I do love my 70-210 F4 so it has to be reallllll good to replace that bad boy in my lens line up.

The D300-s is brill for its focus and build and as we both know the D90 is similar for its sensor performance and a nice camera, i sold mine today and have a mint D7100 on its way in a few days:-D:-D:-D

Just thinking out loud and wondering - the D7100 looks Superb in almost every department, could it be the Best DX DSLR when comparing IQ and AF ability? i know people have mentioned its buffer rate - but if you are like me and shoot one shot at a time then that does not matter, its additional crop feature looks very good also as long as it is not creating any further loss in IQ or increasing noise, i once had a bridge camera that had a similar feature and called it a digital zoom convertor, but messed up the IQ by adding pixals to extend the zoom/reach.

The 7D2 will have something to say about AF supremacy

Well the copy I had sure was a Pile of Junk. I sent that turd back and bought the 5DMKIII.
IMO, the 7DII isn't worth buying. No matter how fast it is, all the images are OOF.

6 sharp images VS 10 OOF images isn't even a comparison. It's a slam-dunk.

Doesn't hurt to have the better FF IQ from the 5D3 either.

In my opinion it is on paper the best DX camera currently. It looks amazing. I wish I could afford one! Maybe I should sell my D90 and 300 and get one...although for portrait shoots with customers I do like having two bodies ready at once with different lens (tamron 28-75 on one and Nikon 70-210 on the other). I am currently trying to sell my D90 and replace it with the D7000. At least I would then have 16mp for when and if I need it.
