At Huntington Beach, CA! Shot from a 3' hole dug in the ground...yeah, seriously.

Step-down ring + CPL works wonders. :3 Now, maybe look into ND filters.

Oh, and a picture of me, by my girlfriend. Only reason it's going up...I wore my awesome beach shirt...to the beach! :3

Sorry about the changes in sky...it went from ultra cloudy at 10am to nice and bright at 2pm.

And the hole I took the first picture from:

All great photos here...I love everything about them..I'm wondering if you could clue me in as to the PP. I really like the "vintage" look you gave them. Is this a preset on the PP software you use, or is this something you can do by simply manipulating color levels, saturation, etc...

thanks in advance...

Matt

hi thanks for the kind words :)

all PP done in LR or photoshop. Either using vinage style processing in PS. check google for some great tutorials
OR using he split toning tool in Lightroom. Let me know if you have anymore questions :)

Hello...

Ok, I just recieved my 30mm...I am super psyched! But I have quickly fallen into the trap of immediately doing focus tests because of everything I have read on here. I don't know if it's ok or not. I'm the type of person who will freak unless a scientist checks out my lens and tells me it's perfect. Why not, right?

Then someone told me, "Dude, forget the focus tests...go out and shoot." So far, real world shots look great..what am I freaking about? I will soon post pics of tests and will appreciate all of the nice people on this thread to just tell me I am crazy...

Until then...happy shootin'!

This lens is not very sharp in the corners at all. But if you're going for that effect, it's great!

Sharpness is not measured in stops. Maybe you are thinking of something else.

Yep that's what I meant. You'd need f/2.8 or so on the corners to match f/1.4 at the center of this lens.
