I think I'm gonna trade my Tamron 17-50 for this! :)

Don't! I love the Sigma 30, but sometimes, particularly events/family gatherings the zoom comes in handy.

Get my new one tomorrow! I really missed this lens and am glad to get a new one. Here is a reason I loved my first copy!

Nah, if I go forward with this, I'll be ok. I am usually midway on my 17-50 when shooting. Stepping backward or forward will be ok for me. :) It's just a thought...I haven't decided yet.

After looking back on most of my pics from my 17-50 I saw that most were in the 30mm range so I just sold mine to get the sigma 30. Should be here Monday! :)

Nope, this lens was built for cameras with crop sensors (like the 7D).

I loved my 17-50, but the Sigma is hands down my most used lens.

Every cropper does in my opinion. It's the prime of the crop sensor. I've been tempted by the 24L II, but at over 3 times the cost and so much larger and heavier, I can't do it. This lens delivers.

I've been convinced my next lens would be the 100L macro but this baby keeps putting out doubt. I love my 17-55 but sometimes I would rather just leave the house traveling light - not to mention the 1.4 factor. Dang...

Someone asked about the 30mm f1.4 on a full frame, so here's a couple of quick pics:
