My new one arrived yesterday, have to adjust it +8 to 10 to get rid of the front focusing. Should I ship it back in and try a new one? Curious to what you guys have done.

Just got my Sigma 30 today and it front focus' badly. Since I don't have MA it is going back and I'm going to settle for the Canon 28 1.8. I was really hoping that it was true that these issues were rare and I would get a good copy. :(

You could have sent your camera and the lens to sigma to have the lens calibrated.

I know...I'm really debating what to do. The copy I had before was my favorite lens. The only reason I got rid of it was because I needed a zoom (or so I thought). Then I got the S95 for those times when primes don't work and now I'm back to primes. I was really hoping I'd get a properly focusing copy on my first try and not have to screw around with it. Just disappointed.

I got my 30mm calibrated to my 60D and it focuses perfectly. I live about an hour and half away from Sigma facility in Long Island, NY so... just drove there and it was totally worth it. This lens my fav lens now that it focuses on point.

They'll cover only one way so no... you'll have to pay for shipping to sigma. If I were you, i'll just drive there. takes about 2 hours and 20 minutes to get from Wappingers falls to Ronkonkoma. A nice trip. They finished calibrating my lens in an hour. Just make sure you call to see if you have to do any "online paperwork" before walking in.
