I don't know if this picture is good enough for a answer, but what do you guys think of the copy? *f/2.8 - Focus was on the "4". Tried to keep a steady hand * Looks good to me but don't worry too much about focus tests, go out and take some real world pictures and see for yourself Gear: Canon EOS 500D/Rebel T1i/Kiss X3

May 24, 2011 00:20 | #5198 I really like this lens so far... I sold my 50 1.4 to fund this lens and so far I don't have regrets. The focallenght just works better for me and the bokeh is good to... Of course, I understand that - but out of all the lenses I have read up on, it seems more common with this one than most... that's what I meant... 1Dx | 5D III | 1D IV | 8-15 | 16-35L II | 24-70L II | 70-200L II | 400L II | 1.4x III | Σ85 | 100L | 3 x 600EX-RT | ST-E3-RT

I disagree, if you go through the 35L thread, that lens has the same issues but because it's so expensive, less people purchase that lens and therefore it would appear that there are less issues, therefore the "cheaper" 3rd party lenses tend to look worse off because they sell more. The fact remains is that is that ALL lenses in this super wide open category have the same/similar issues, it does not matter who the manufacturer is. Another explanation could be that having paid so much for a lens, only to find that it doesn't work properly, they go through a process called cognitive dissonance and either convince themselves that its working fine and that something else is the problem, or they're a bit embarrassed to admit that their $1k+ lens is faulty, so they don't say anything. Whereas when it comes to 3rd party lenses, there's a stigma hovering about that they aren't as good as canon lenses, so whenever someone gets a bad one they're like "z0mg every1 iz rite, 3rd party sux0rz l0ok I gots bad focuss" -Tom
