I'm about to join the Sigma 30 club (again!). I should've never sold my original one as it was my primary lens for almost a year! Looking forward to using this lens again.

Does the 30mm lens have any of the AF calibration issues that I've heard the 50mm lens has?

I dont use any MA on my 7D. some do come with similar calibration issues. mine thankfully has been spot on since I got it. still my first go to lens

I've never had a problem with the 50mm or the 30mm but it doesn't focus as well in the dark as the 50mm. I love them both for walking around.

Mine is right on the money. It's almost too sharp as well. I think it would be for some people's style of photography.

I got mines off here and it's spot on with my T2i. My favorite lens so far.

Hi Guys!
Just thinking about getting one of those. Only thing which holds me is question about sharpness in corners - is it really so bad as it is shown in some tests? And what about sharpness in center - is it as great as they writing?
Considering also 17-50 2,5 OS HSM. Which one (despite obvious differences) will perform better in terms of resolution and sharpness?

thanx in advance!

p.s. what about AF? is it precise in low light conditions? also does it has FTM?

Its sharp stopped down.... And not bad at f1.4. Havent noticed too many issues on mine in regards to corner softness. I dont use it for landscapes much, so not shooting at f8 etc so the corners are normally bokeh :)

It does struggle a little in low light but nothing severe enough to have me swearing at it, can always goto manual focus if need be.

Its a great lens and plenty fun to use with the shallow DOF. Whether you get a good one that doesnt front or back focus is another question.

I've orderd one.... will arrive on friday. I hope to take couple o snaps during this weekend. Wondering if polish distribution has better lenses than other and if this will be razor sharp.
to be honest - for me it will be enough it will be open wide as sharp as my nifty fifty at 2,0-2,2...
I think I'm not expecting to much from glass which now costs me around 600 bucks...

hi Guys

I just received this lens yesterday from Amazon. After concluding some focus tests just realized that the lens is front focussign by quite a bit - snap included. Should i sent this for AF adjustment to Sigma (along with body i.e. a Canon T3i which focuses perfectly on 50mm f1.4, f18-200). And say I do send the camera across - will the adjustment be done on the lens or the camera as well. I am a bit worried because I am still a noob compared to the folks on this forum.

Any advice is appreciated.
