There's no doubt that this lens is amazingly sharp...

I bought one of these back in June. Used it for a few weeks, then sold it to fund a Sigma 17-50 OS. But the the Sigma 17-50 had its issues. I went through 2 copies and they both weren't nailing the focus as it should. Plus I decided to go back to primes.

I am now a proud owner of a Sigma 30mm f1.4......again! It's so sharp!!

This tends to be my primary walk-around lens more than any of my other lenses, so it's used for a wide range of images for me.

Here are a few landscapes and shots from my recent trip to France - we did a wine tour through the Rhone Valley

Scenic Overlook in Beaumes de Venise (the yellow is the fall colors on all of the grape vines)

I just got back from my local camera shop where I got a chance to play with both this 30mm 1.4 and the Canon 28mm 1.8. The Canon feels like a toy, whereas the Sigma actually feels solid and well built. It was very sharp too, just like some of the work posted here in this thread. Although there are pros and cons to each, I've made my decision... the Sigma will be coming home with me later this week

So my new lens came in finally!!! A Sigma 30 1.4

This is my second one, I just wasnt using it enough at the time, but I started to miss it so I went and got another one, this one looks to be very sharp and the focus is right on.

So here are a few quick pix I took tonight.

First shot is a small statue being attacked by a predator. LOL I took this at F2 and F8 to show the difference in the DOF.

Here is a quick picture of my wife when she wasn't expecting it, as I was shooting from around my neck.
IMAGE: http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa229/bmwcolin/IMG_1350ps.jpg

Last one is a picture of one of our cats.

This one looks really sharp. Is it because U used flash or any image from your copy is THAT sharp?

EDIT.
to be honest - second one is not so sharp - well not everywhere on this sculpture.
