That test-shot is off,but give the lens some justice and choose another subject..
I always thought it was a lie that u had to get a good one!!
had a chance to shoot yesterday its so versatile !

After doing alot of WA shots, also brought to a teambuilding day at work, Im certain there is something of with my copy.

The only way I could get sharp images, was using the MF and the viewfinder. As soon as I used the AF, even on a flat wall, it would be very unsharp.

The store I bought it from is sending me a new copy, they said that there was a chance to get a good one. If that doesnt work, they are gonna send it for calibration, but that can take up to 6 weeks

Providing you get a good copy, this is easily the sharpest lens i own.

Heh thanks, I was in japan about 8 months ago - just slowly working my way through editing all the shots :)

After shooting this lens some more in the real world, I've decided that it is front focusing really badly. I don't even need to use charts to determine this. When focusing on static objects such as flowers, I'm missing focus on the flower that is isolated from the rest. Looks like I'll have to send in my lens and camera soon.

Sorry to hear that - 2 of my friends brought this lens too. One has perfect focus, others was completely off - it's a shame as it's one of the sharpest lens made for crop and has a great focal length.

I absolutely adore the lens and I've gotten some good shots, but I now know for sure that shooting with pretty wide apertures has given me mixed results, and some pictures aren't as sharp as I think they should be due to missed focus. Time to register my lens and things on the Japanese website (oh why did I buy this lens in Japan?!).

Edit: Sorry for the text! More pictures!
