Just got this lens and really enjoying it. Can't wait to play with it more on our upcoming vacation. For now here's a couple quick snapshots both wide open at F/1.4 on a Canon T1i/500D. First one was cropped a bit.

Touji, I see you also have the 60D as I do. When you got your copy, did you have to get it calibrated, or did it work straight out of the box ?

It worked straight out of the box, but it has a slight front focus issue. As soon as Golden Week ends in Japan, I'm going to be trying to send my camera and lens to Sigma to get them calibrated.

Did some shooting with live view and manual focus! This lens seriously is the shiznitz.

^ definitely looks off to me if you're sure your focus was on the bristles.

Send it in to Sigma for a calibration!

I got a second copy of the lense now, first shot out of the box, situated on the table top, again target was the bristles, at 1.8, looks better to me, but can it get better ?

IMAGE: http://www.tomasz.dk/nc.JPG

And yes I know I need to do more tests, but Im quite happy, cause there seem to be a big difference to me, just need to be validated in this, so that I dont feel stupid bringing this lense for the Danish Championships in skatehockey tomorrow :D

Ohh and the pic was taken at 8:45 PM and the only light source was the window.

I would like to call it myself, after a little more testing. It's a good copy.

At 1.4, 10:35 PM only light source a lamp. Handheld, focus is on the red onion ring.

This is what I was looking for right ?

Looks good! I can never get it looking that sharp if I were to focus on bristles like that :D
