I attempted my first brenzier method picture with a friend in DC today. I think it came out ok but still feel like I could improve on it, especially since birds kept flying through the frame. I used a 70-200 f2.8

I like it! My only recommendation is try to shoot your subject at closer to 200mm. you will get more separation and get that bokeh look you are wanting from the Brenizer. I dig it though!

Looks good ES. 100 mm is a good focal length to start on. At 200mm a lot of people, myself included wii have a fairly high failure rate because the overlap and parallax becomes more of an issue.

How many shots did it take you to get the image? If you want try posting full size to hosting service like Flickr or others as the effect isn't as pronounced when you resize everything to 1024 pixels.
