It's been a while since I posted anything on here. I've been really busy with a move but I finally got a chance to process some photos from a recent portrait session and I thought I would post them.

Most impressed by the dog posing...animals drive me nuts in portraits. Easier to get 2 yo to hold still. Nicely done.

What was the guy doing with his hands in the last photo?

Excellent leaf placement

Great lighting especially in 1 and 2

3 and 4 are my picks but they are all VERY nice. My one nit is the dog obscuring her entire lower half in the first pic. I would have perhaps moved the dog more to his left, camera right.

Very nice work though.

Thank you all. I really enjoyed this session and I love the shots that came from it. I was lucky that the dog was so well behaved. He's still a puppy (just over a year old) so I was a little worried but he did great. There a bunch of people out walking their dogs this morning so in #2 I actually asked a guy who was walking behind us if he would mind standing behind me with his dog to keep our puppy's attention. It worked! Hahaha!

Lens?
Did you enhance the background blur at all in post on any of these?

I love these! Especially the first one :) This is the look I want to achieve in my photography, care to share any tips? I'm guessing shooting this with a 50mm 1.4 wouldn't work?

135 L was my gut instinct:). Rivas was kind enough to post his gear, and sure enough, that was on his list :). If he would've said no to that 200 at 2.8, or better yet at 2.0 aka LJH would've been fantastic for that effect.
