You mean terrible shot? I know its not perfect but I didn't think too shabby considering it was a video pull. Actually I think once summer gets here and with adaquate light the 4K photo will be a
great thing. If you're meaning EXIF not showing FZ1000 (or whatever camera) oh well, at least I know which camera did it=the only camera I have that can for now! But I'm on the verge of adding the
GH4 now that I've seen youtubes showing it can actually autofocus track moving objects.

Extracting from a 4K video might not deliver the highest resolution possible, but there's no way you'd get that lucky with the composition when taking single shots.

Replacing my Canon 7D, Tokina 12-24mm, Canon 17-55mm, Sigma 30mm f/1.4, 85mm f/1.4, and 150-500mm with a Panasonic Lumix FZ1000. I still have the 17-55 and the 30 available for sale.

I think lsquare meant that it was horrible to have the EXIF read "PhotoFunStudio". I agree.

Yep, that's what I was referring to. Is there any way to edit that?

There's still one issue left and I'm hoping either one of you will be able to address it for me. Will geotagging work with the 4K Photo Mode?

I'll try to see about geotagging in 4K photo when I can, just got back from Canada and have to work a week. If you dont hear back remind me please.
I didn't even know the FZ1000 has GPS? I'll have to study that too. I've got several bodies with GPS and never used it :(

I don't think it has a GPS. It sounds like geotagging is done by syncing with a phone or tablet but I'm not sure if the photos get geotagged in the FZ1000 or if they only get geotagged after being copied to the phone.

Sorry to hear that.
I really found in camera GPS useful for a person that travels often or takes too many images and needs to remember the exact location of each.
Can't say how much my Sony Alpha 55 helped me on the very first days, I learned about existence of GPS within Camera and I could never believe how nicely it can organized my album, according to location. Even if I don't use Sony's software, simply using Google Chrome will do the trick to the best as long as GPS's alt/long is tagged in the EXIF.
Once you use it, you would never want another camera without it.

FZ1000 doesn't have GPS. If it's anything like the GH4, it uses the Lumix app to geotag the images.

I agree. I love organizing my albums by location. That can only be done if the images are geotagged.

You need to use the Lumix app (iOS/Android) to geotag images.

What a great superzoon. This one at 35mm equivalent 400mm. I sold a Sony RX10 to get this
camera and love the added FL.

Just picked up the camera and love it so far. Changing shutter speed and the aperture from the same dial. Genius !!!!!

I hated the separate button on the rebels :(

I had my beloved EOSM stolen so I picked this one up.

How is the high ISO?

Congratulations on your new machine!
Did you get the GH4 or the FZ1000 ??
On high(er) ISO I think you'll be glad that its better than
you'd think for a sensor that size but you already know that is
the Achilles Heel for m4/3s. I do think the NR algorithms Pana
employs are the best they can, so they try to milk everything out
of it they can.
Crap they stole the EOS-M, a great camera.
