I'm looking to upgrade my headphones (currently Sony MDR-7506s). This is for VO recording and audio editing purposes, so I am looking for something fairly "honest" and flat.

Budget -- Let's keep it under $350 (doesn't mean I'll spend that, but just so I have a good idea of options and don't limit any borderline jewels).

Thanks, hivemind!

For the price the Sennheiser HD 380 Pro has good specs.

The Sennheiser HD280 is my go-to headphone for anything that requires flat-ish response. I also use the Sony 7506, these have a bump in the frequency response in the mids and upper mids that's good for applying an exacting ear during dialog/VO recording, but poor for music or editing.

Street price of $100 USD for the HD280, same as the 7506.
