Bridge99...beautiful shots, I especially like the colors in the last one you posted.

I recently posted a few hummer shots taken with this lens on my 7D. The one below is using my 1Ds2 plus the 2x extender III. I think the IQ holds up well using this extender.

Thanks. The 300 f2.8 + 2x extender seems to be a great combo to me. I know this is a bit cliched by now but here's a shot I took this evening of the moon with my 7D and this lens combo.

Yes I really like the 300mm f2.8 IS with the 2X. I have had excellent results with both my 7D and 1D4 and I ony have the 2x ii. I will upgrade once all my house projects allow me to free up some cash! LOL
