I finally got hold of a copy yesterday and I am absolutely blown away by it. The best piece of glass I have ever used.

Took it for a trip to the beach this morning to see wild seals breeding.

Love the iridescence of the crow's feathers, Lukich!

Love the subjects in the next photo even more!

(I wonder if the crow wanted a birds eye view of the three lovelies below him?)

I've been busy on a project organizing my old "archive" photos from the years up to when I actually started to get organized, and then importing everything into LR3 from my old LR1 library.

Anyway, last night I finished with my '08 pics (a very active year) and in the process ran across this photo from the 300mm f/2.8 IS with a 1.4x TC, taken in Oct '08 shortly before I had to sell the dang lens:
