Rome, Italy. Not really into the wild :D
Looks like since '90s some common pet-parakeet (not skilled, i guess imported from south america) escaped, breeding.
After 20 years they are a lot, surviving in many city-parks.
They have only to be aware of yellow-legged-gulls and city hawks ;)

In Holland the Ring-necked or Rose-ringed Parakeet (Psittacula krameri) is very common here, almost a plague.

Yeah butterfly2947, nice colors. Just discovered it's called "Monk Parakeet"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monk_Parakeet (external link)
originates from the temperate to subtropical areas of Argentina and the surrounding countries in South America.
Self-sustaining feral populations occur in many places, mainly in North America and Europe.

yeah gnome & kees, here too are many "Ring-necked" or "Rose-ringed" but the one in my shots probably is the Monk.
yet are very similar and difficult to distinguish, they are so noisy when swarm for food in the morning :D
