F2.8, 1/4000, 500iso. An adult alpha male chasing away a brave young one, you can recognize: eyes of the right one are still dark, and red-ring incomplete.
They are colonizing in the last years euro cities, fishing in rivers and small city-park lakes, hunting for pigeons and starlings, scrubbing in rubbish, landfill-sites.

Well, since almost nobody could answer my question I just went out en bought a 1 Dx.
Today I got the chance to try it out on my favorite subject in my favorite weather: grey planes in grey weather. The mk III 2xTC does a better job on the 1Dx than on my 1DIV.
I used to have only one or two keepers (or none…) but with the 1 Dx I got a keeper ratio of about 90%. Mind you, this was the first time I tried…
