Beautiful day in Lincolnshire today. A little snow a few days back and then cold weather kept everything crisp.

The deer in Belton Park have free run of the grounds which makes for some interesting opportunities.

It does look pretty blue, and because none of them is looking at you there is less of a connection to the viewer compared to the second shot.

Some Canon stuff and a little bit of Yongnuo.

I like the first one more. It looks blue but it is very atmospherical compared to the second. And it looks more natural to me that the deers dont look in the camera.
The second one is too busy somehow

Good job!

I'm with you which is why I was asking. Just goes to prove that it is all art and you like what you like. I would have preferred two eyes on the lead deer in photo 1, but they were genuinely interested in something else to eat :-)

In #2, is that a pile of $#¡+ that the deer is looking at (just in the boundaries of the OOF-In Focus zones)? That what he's unsure what it is?

They have a bit of a mole problem at Belton currently. The grounds are covered in piles of earth.

Have to say though ... it does look exactly like $*yte. Lucky deer poop "berries" :-)
