Yeah I don't post my photos often in this thread (Flickr is blocked at work), but I use the crap out of mine. It's my go to for indoors stuff, especially low light. I used it on a maternity shoot yesterday along side my 85mm 1.8. Did great! I will try to post more in here soon.

Glad this thread is getting resurrected. I recently bought a 24 2.8 stm as I wanted something wider than my 50 and 85 in the house. I'm not exactly impressed with it. Think I might sell it and pay the little more for this lens.

Just trying to be better than I was yesterday.

I love my 35mm on full frame. I'm not sure if 35 will be wide enough for what you are looking for on a crop, but you can always try it and see what you think. Sorry to hear the 24mm wasn't impressive, I was kind of interested in that lens for a small walkaround on a crop.

I'm erring on the side that it's me and not the lens. So I'm going to shoot with it a bunch and just see if I need to learn to use it right before I get rid of it.

What don't you like about it?

To stay on topic, this lens is my favorite for food photography. Really gives some dimension to the food when you are up close. Man I wish Flickr wasn't blocked at work, I would be blowing up this thread. Probably my most used lens indoors.

Hate to say it, but looks like you missed focus there? Tree is razor sharp, but flowers are a little soft.

Hockey and wedding photographer. Favourite camera / lens combos: a 1DX II with a Tamron 45 1.8 VC, an A7Rii with a Canon 24-70F2.8L II, and a 5DSR with a Tamron 85 1.8 VC. Every lens I own I strongly recommend [Canon (35Lii, 100L Macro, 24-70F2.8ii, 70-200F2.8ii, 100-400Lii), Tamron (45 1.8, 85 1.8), Sigma 24-105]. If there are better lenses out there let me know because I haven't found them.
