Loving this lens the more I use it! Hasn't come off my camera since I bought it!

I just ordered my copy two days ago and can't wait to try it out! After using nothing but 50's for the past 4/5 years it will be nice to have a wider lens. Hopefully my roommates won't mind me taking photos of them for the next couple weeks :)

is canon going to discontinue this 35 f/2 lens and replace with 32 f/2 IS ? Is it going to difficult to upgrade to different lens later.

I sincerely doubt it, they're very different lenses price wise. If anything I'd think they'd do what they did with the 50 1.8 and come out with a cheaper all plastic mk2 version of this lens. Either way, you could still find it used ;) I got mine on ebay for $200 and love it!

Thanks man. First go with raw using 35 f2 (f2 1/80 2000). Increased 0.50 exposure and noise cleaning using DPP. Anything I am missing?

I'm really using this lens a lot, it's almost always attached to the camera, it's so tiny I can bring it always with me (which is good for my 365 days project).
Here is today's shot, almost no pp:

One of my Dad around Christmas time. It's funny, he let me play around with two of his L lenses while I was there (24-105L and 16-35L) and yet I enjoyed my humble little 35/2 more!

Very nice; I like the Mona Lisa smile. Is that natural light? It looks very soft and even.

Is sigma 30mm better for some one to stick with crop body for some time compared to this.

I've had both. definitely the Sigma. Larger max aperture, much better AF.
