My first impression is it's a falcon but the eyes say it could be a hawk. What is this bird?

Dec 29, 2014 08:52 | #8 Thanks "Red" and Ron. This was a lucky capture. I was at Fern Nature Center in Coconut Creek FL with my wide angle lens looking for maple trees. While heading back to my car something just made me look to my left and there it was, a bird sitting still for probably 20 minutes. I had time to change lens, brace the lens on the boardwalk for support and take about 20 shots (ISO 1600). It was the first time I saw a Cooper's Hawk.
