I haven't been on here in forever...
Whats with the giant "banned" sticker i'm seeing on some users? I mean obviously they are banned, but whats the practice behind it? Thanks!
It's good to be back.

Chances are you are seeing older threads revived because of the changeover. Those same users were banned before but the graphic is bold and the change in software makes it more likely you see old pages first.

As gonzogolf pointed out these are old users previously banned with the new graphic on their avy.

Funny enough there's a user that has the title "Fake Banned" (or something like that). I can't recall their username that has the exact same "banned" graphic as part of their avy.

Not necessarily so. I ran across one banned today who was not banned two days ago. (and who will not be named.)

Not sure what you're asking with " whats the practice behind it?"

Pretty straightforward: the user violated the rules. IMHO, the mods here are pretty flexible and I have seen Pekka take some criticism hits that I thought were unacceptable. but that did not result in a ban. So obviously, someone who has been banned has crossed that line.

Haha... yeah, the newly banned will get the logo as well, of course.

If you hover on the logo it might say "permanent ban" or "temporary" (or something similar like back in 3 days and it counts down to when the ban expire - I can't recall).
