As can be seen here, I am unable to create a new profile. I have downloaded all the latest software from X-Rite and installed and activated, etc., but I cannot create a new profile as the module is unable to detect the crop marks. Anyone else run into this?

Hi Dwight:

If I remember correctly, the files must be formatted in the DNG format ...
It can't profile from the original CR2 files.

Paul, the plug-in has always taken care of that behind the scenes. I'm not sure when it stopped working. I have a query into X-Rite now as no searches have revealed an answer.

I was able to create the profile by exporting a .DNG, loading into the Profile program and setting the crop marks manually. Never had had this issue before but at least now I have a workaround.

Sometimes, it can't find the card. You'll have to crop around the ColorChecker Passport, and manually open with the Color Checker standalone app, which will let you manually align the boxes with the image, then save the profile.

Good luck.

The Passport is upside down. Try rotating it so the color swatches are on the bottom and see if that works.

Are those the crop marks in your photo? Try cropping only the top half, as that is the portion used to make the profile. Try rotating the photo as kv968 suggested and see if it makes a difference. I've only used the stand alone application with the standard Munsell color checker since I don't have lightroom or the passport.

Interesting ... cropping to just the top half worked! Thanks! X-Rite never got back to me.

Glad to hear that worked. Next time just make sure the WB panel is on top (or rotate in PP) and the whole checker should be read correctly.
