I might have tried it a little more zoomed out to get the whole leg in the image. Or I would have gone in really close to just get the lovely face of the pup. Not saying it would be better or worse, but I would have at least tried those shots to see if I liked them better.
With sleeping dogs, you have plenty of time to try different things. Take that opportunity to see what shots you can get.
I do like the aperture with the leg going out of focus. I do like that you got down on the dogs level instead of shooting down. I do like that you go in close enough to try to exclude the unneeded surroundings.
So you have a lot of good things going for you, just mix it up when you can. Don't stop at one shot. Or multiple shots of the same pose. You might find several shots you take that are unconventional that you really like since you have a non moving model. Which is impossible with a pup that is awake.
