This is what is known as a Cross Fox. it is a Red Fox, but the hair has a black cross that runs the length of spine from head to tail, up each front leg crossing the back at shoulders creating the "Cross". Such a beautiful creature, and quite a sight to behold.

You have many fox up there in Canada.
Very lucky.
The fox here get hunted so much they are VERY elusive.

Thanks for the kind compliments. They really are my favourite colour variation of the Red Fox. We had quite a few of these around where we used to live. I would guess about 30-40% of all fox were these.
