Not always true. HDR and composites, for instance, generally don't have EXIF readily available.

When I do focus stacks or HDRs I layer them over a representative image to keep a useful EXIF.

I feel like a little kid the week before Christmas waiting for v1.1.

It is virtually complete. Gear list changes/images and some minor coding is being done now. The update will probably happen in some days from now, maybe even sooner, no promises though. The actual update process takes about half an hour or less, so there will be very little downtime.

In your example of forum headers (People forum) I see the bold and unbold indicating unread and read. However, I do not see the "Mark Forum Read" button or link.

Also, unless you cropped them off in your screen shots, I notice the gallery images at the left are gone. This creates a much better organized, less cluttered and more professional forum.

It was mentioned in the first couple pages that the coding for 'Mark Forum Read' was complete but it wasn't visible in the screen captures yet.

The screenshots do not have it, but the 1.1. has "MARK READ" command when in forum view. You click it and you can either click "MARK THIS FORUM READ" and the current forum is marked read, or "MAR ALL FORUMS READ" which you also need to confirm if you click it. I'll add those also to other locations if requested.

Marking a forum read marks all unvisited posts read, sets visited threads as read, clears current notifications (for the forum) and marks all posts seen for all followed and own threads in current forum (or all if all are marked read).

I disagree with the clutter opinion as photos are what POTN wants to bring forward and promote them. Nevertheless:

Side galleries are shown:

- only on the first page of thread listing
- if window width is at least 800 pixels
- if you have not hidden them (a command is in FYEO)

1.1. is full of other changes that are not in the first post of this thread. I may forgot to mention them all, but here's some:

- ISO, ss, aperture and mm are not shown any more with gallery thumbs, only in gear pages.

Email change is only command tool not done yet. Also, I will have to delay password retrieval code a few days after the 1.1. is out. Some entries have simply instructions/links to the actual command, like sig editor or avatar upload, filter forums page is inside FYEO in full. There will be more entries like Session info, Broken Images, Uploaded Images, "per page" selections etc.

"Visited Threads" is the default entry point to FYEO. From the start AMASS has made a list of all threads you visit, with last access times, and that list is actually very useful to show you were you were recently - naturally all lists including that one show notifications and read marking in full.

- Search results are sorted by time.

Search has also new intelligent "when to keep search UI open" system which works simply like this:

If you open the search UI, do search(es), the search stays of course open. When you click a search result and arrive to a new page, the search stays open. But if you click any link other than inside the search result window, the search is closed on the loaded page. Also, if you refresh the page, search is closed. Naturally the last search result is there when you open it again. This system makes it natural to "understand" search behavior: click a result link (search is opened automatically), click some other link (search won't open automatically).

I have done some minor changes to the post editor, changed couple of buttons and put submit command to the right. Later the editor will have new features (like automatically open toolboxes to remembered positions, change command graphs and positions etc).

- Notifications are displayed on a floating popup, threads are grouped by forum (by your forum/area ordering). There is a CLEAR ALL command which clears current notifications (they'll become "unseen").

Some things need to be done after 1.1., like 0 posts listing when you are notified and the post is deleted, and PM draft load message when there is empty draft. Also, disable animation does not disable them all and has some other minor side effects which need to be fixed. Al there is a long list of other to do's waiting.

This seems like extremely basic functionality. All websites should have a way to register, log in, change password, and delete account.

Change password-Not functional yet, but coming.
Delete Account-This has never been an option here.

The password reset functionality is a forthcoming feature. Send a PM to any Mod (myself included) with your desired password and we can change it for you.

We do not delete accounts.

Cool and slick! Most presentable forum template I've ever seen. Congrats. I know you said there will be a tripod discussion in some forum, but will we get the tripod sticky back from the old version?
