It was on the night of Dec 27 when I was hired to cover a batch reunion from a university. I asked my friend to shoot as the main photographer and I will be doing the video footage of the said event. I told him to bring a Canon body to let him use my speedlight and triggers (YN RF-605C) for OCF. When he came to the event, he was very confident that it was his 7D he has in his bag, only to find out that he brought the wrong bag which was his Nikon D90. Due to lack of time, we tested attaching the trigger in his d90 and it successfully fired my Canon speedlight. This surprised us. After checking for issues, the only problem (speedlight set to manual) we saw was wakening the 430exII via the shutter is not possible but can be resolved by pressing the trigger's button mounted on the cam.
Can anyone explain how it became possible knowing that the triggers were meant for canon bodies?
