The local wetlands had a good amount of ducks on Tuesday and I was fortunate to get a decent angle on them. Here are my best attempts on a few of the Ring-Necked ducks.

My favorite shot of them because the BG is so beautiful. 700mm (I used a guy's lens that I had just met :-P)

Thanks Mary,celestron and truck.

You just need to be careful because the Lesser Scaup looks very similar.

Been a long time since I seen one of these ,but the Lesser Scaup is common at our local duck pond . I've taken a lot of Scaups images but none of the Ring-Necked Duck .

That first one especially is indeed beautiful, Jeremy; the water is dreamy.

Ah. Cool Celestron.

Al, that water is dreamy. I'm guessing it's the shallow DOF from 700 mm at like 30 ft.
Either way, I'll take it.

Jeremy, you must have a trusting face! You certainly got a beautiful image with the borrowed lens. The other two images are beautiful too. Love him watching above!

Very nice Jeremy! I find these guys tough, they never come close enough for me.
