Hey Mario,

So I recently made the jump from 5dII to d810 and like your set up. I shot with 35/1.4, 85/1.2, 135/2.

Currently I just have the 24-70 as I heard/read/seen great things; but am starting to miss the prime.

Being said; I know at 85 the 1.4G is king (esp for high pixel count camera's like d810), same with the 200/2

But curious as to real world comparison of 35/1.4G with the sigma art 35/1.4. Wondering if you or know of anyone who can compare. Thanks!

Hi Steven,
I have owned both and i prefer the look of the nikon 35g but thats just me. The sigma is very sharp but the nikon is not too far behind. I also prefer the bokeh of the nikon more.

Thanks for the reply. Hm, for me I guess between sharpness and bokeh I'd have to give it to sharpness. What about AF differences?

I ended up selling it but I sure do miss it. I will try to regain my equipment as soon as I save more money. Buying a house is hard on the financials.

My 200f2 vr1 is due to arrive tomorrow. It will join the 200f2 ais in my collection, at least until the wife finds out.

Nikon 200 f2 AI-S with its VR1 counterpart. Now I'll likely need to start saving for the VR2, lol.

Please post your thoughts. I'd love to get the VR1 but even that's way out of my budget. Is the AIS even close in terms of IQ or focus speed?
