A group of guys were out on the ice today so I thought I would work on my panning. Does the shot with the two bikes work? I was panning my friend to bad he was not leading out of the corner.

That's just crazy right there. I appreciate number 1, but it seems the subject s the lead rider. I would almost crop out the majority of the 1st rider, but that's a large crop. I like 2, a tighter crop may be in order as well.

Here is one more. Not a slow shutter pan shot but should tell the story

The last image is great! I like the first one but I think that if you bumped ISO up to 1600ish you could have used a fast enough shutter to get both bikes/riders in pretty good focus. Depth of field wasn't the issue there if you were really shooting F13.

But nice set, its always fun seeing the crazy guys on ice!

I was shooting TV-1/40th to practice my panning hence the blur to show drama and hold focus on there head
