Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

First the Ice Caterpillar, which I believe they call rime frost.

While I was out enjoying the scarce sunshine, I noticed the smoke rising from our chimney, and thought, "that's kind of pretty!"

Thanks Craig and Jeff. The temperatures are going to be crazy cold tonight with a possible wind chill of -50F below zero. So thankful for wood heat, but I still have to go outside to tend to the farm animals. Yes they all have proper enclosed shelters!

Ice Caterpillar is cool. Must have been really cold to make that. Can't say I've ever seen one before. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you both. It's amazing what Mother Nature can do when she's feeling creative! It was really cold, but it has gotten even colder since I took these photos.
