Olympus OMD EM-1 Lockup?

I've had an Olympus OMD E-M1 for a few weeks now, and am still an absolute beginner with it, I may have done something wrong.

Recently i was taking pictures during dinner and went to review the most recent one by pressing the "play" button.

After review, nothing I did would return the camera to normal "camera mode" - shutter button, "OK" for the Super Control Panel, etc -> the image stayed on the rear LCD and the camera would not take images.

I turned the power off, and the image STILL remained on the LCD!

I removed the battery, the image disappeared from the rear LCD and after powering up, the camera returned to normal operation.

I have the most recent version of the firmware "body: 2.2".

Has anyone experienced any camera lockups?

I have heard of that sort of thing happening, and not just with Olympus. I may have happened to me, but I can't remember for sure. Usually the remove battery trick does the trick. Sometimes it is good to leave the battery out over night.
Cameras are computers, and computers crash now and again. I wouldn't worry about it much unless it happens repeatedly. If it does, send it in.
My E-M1 runs very stable.

Olympus body with panasonic lens?

This was a common issue with the em-5 especially when used with panny lenses. Pop the battery out for a second and the "crash" will be reset.

Olympus EM-1 body, Olympus 12-40 lens.
