Can someone recommend a shallow case with many dividers for storing a million little things like clamps, gaffer tape, umbrella adapters, etc. I can only find cases geared for lenses or studio flashes.

Something to throw in the car, soft but sturdy case. Pelican cases are too heavy and best for expensive contents. Grip duffle bags can be stepped on and the contents roll round inside. The closest I can find is the Think Tank Manager because it has many dividers and has wheels. pricey though.

Check out Bass Pro and Cabelas. They have tons of organizers for fishing tackle. I have one that is basically a soft mesh carry case that accommodates rigid plastic cases of varying depth. Many of the cases have separators that are moveable so you can customize the compartment size. Very handy. Sometimes not taking a photograph can be as problematic as taking one. - Alex Webb
