I'm confused. Are the themes just being made up as we go?

The OP has departed the scene so those of us participating in this tread have picked up the themes.

See Dopey's post 191 for a list of the current themes.

When we get to week 21 someone will post the next five themes.

Welcome aboard. Looks like you've spent a lot of time in the Adirondacks. Originally from Glens Falls we retired to Saranac Lake. Spent 13 years there in the High Peaks before the taxes and the winters drove us south.

Yea, I love it up there (live in NJ). I try to take at least one trip every year and hit a couple high peaks. 10 year goal is to finish them all... hopefully I succeed!

Here's part of the center section of a weathered underground root structure of an old toppled oak tree. No tap root.

Caves are such fun places to visit and explore. A commercial cave I assume Bernard?

Yes Don, it's a natural cave arranged to be visited.
Its name is "Lacave", a predestined name isn't it ? ;-)a

Week 19 Underground

Entry of the Hadrian's Aqueduct tunnel.
The Aqueduct was built by the Romans and is a 20 km tunnel that fetches potable water to ancient Athens. The tunnel collects spring water from the mountains via canals that converge to one point and then are transferred underground to the city of Athens.
The Aquaduct is still gathering water today, it was operational until the 1930s. The entry is left in bad condition, desperately in need of a clean up.
