Thanks to you both :-)

Stetzam, Don is right when he says "your photos have a nice dreamy effect to them", I like !

Bass Lake about 18 miles west of where live. A nice park like setting with nature trails all throughout the park and into the surrounding mountains. Unfortunately the lake develops a healthy crop of lily pads during the summer months. The lake is especially pretty in the spring when the rhododendrons are in bloom and the fall when the leaves are changing.

It seems to be a very peaceful and natural place Don.
Maybe some bald eagles live there ?

Unfortunately, I have not seen eagles or osprey in that location.

It is peaceful there.

Favorite spot - taken last summer....can't wait to get back armed with a new camera and more knowledge. Heck even with the same camera and what I've learned since then!

MI - Upper Peninsula; Lake Superior - Au Train roadside beach

Given our hot summer I'd really like to be on that beach right now.

I liked the way this swan gave me the look.

Variations on a theme (only I think this one was looking for food) - Used my lunch hour to practice at a near by city park:

Great detail on that duck. Nice capture.

Head on butterflies are tough.
