Ignoble end for the god of the sea stetzam.

FPJ, sorry to hear about the loss of Gabby.

Thank you Don!

FPJ, I feel sorry for your loss, I know the feeling, I had lost my cat in a car accident...

Thank you both. We do get attached to our furry friends don't we?

Your post made me smile Jason - I do love me some Hobbit tales!

Thanks stetzam.

Great shot FPJ. Really like the exposed framework on the boat. Is that hull canvas covered?

Like that composition Jason.

I believe so. I happened to drive though Port Townsend, WA in 2012 the weekend of the annual Wooden Boat festival. The festival looked interesting so I stopped to check it out. This was before I started researching SOF (skin on frame) kayaks so the sight of this craft was unique to me. The boat wasn't quite finished yet so I left out the back end from the shot. I really had not had much experience with the T2i at that point, I was just winging it. ALL of my pictures that day were taken on some odd WB setting. Good thing I had read about shooting RAW or Raw + Jpeg. Now, three years later I'm going back and breathing new life into the shots. This one still has an evident blueish tint in the background but it was a blueish grey day when the sun dipped behind the clouds.

Nice craftsmanship on that dinghy, don't 'cha think?

Excellent craftsmanship on that dingy. Looks like it is set up for sailing also.
