NASP '14 Blue Angels

I recently got the chance to photograph my first air show. I wanted to see want kind of images I could produce with decent glass and older camera combo. I think I did a pretty good job of screwing these up. I used a Sigma 50-150 2.8 OS, Kenko 1.4x tele and EOS D60(circa 2002 6mp). So without further ado, here is my junk.

Nothing wrong here. It's nice to see what results $2,000 bought 13 years ago.

Other than the fact you came very close to freezing the props on the 4 Stearman's & it's likely heavily cropped nothing wrong with either. I've seen worse by people with better equipment & who knew they shouldn't use high shutter speeds.

Looks like it might be a North American T-28 Trojan. It replaced the AT-6 Texan as the primary training aircraft (US) beginning in the 1950's.

The Skyraider (Douglas A-1) was a much larger plane.

Goes to show you don't need a 50mp camera that some folk keep banging on about.

Bit more prop blur in the first, but other wise nowt much wrong with these.
