Yes went for the two colours as the focal point being the statue and trying to frame the picture with the trails of car lights if that makes sense.

But even so, while many folks will criticize the thought of selective color, there are times it adds a unique image that works. For me, this is one of those times. Nice job!

In general it is perceived as a trick that fascinates novices. To the more experienced eye, it screams "Look at me! I'm the important part of the image." This of course is because the composition is lacking in that it fails to identify a clear subject. Joe

I would like to see a version of the photo in colour with a desaturated or muted look. Sometimes not taking a photograph can be as problematic as taking one. - Alex Webb

Jan 07, 2015 11:39 | #15 Thank you all for your comments being a novice its a great incite into peoples different views as well as an eye opener, at first i liked the photo with the selective colours...But I am now leaning towards it being a side show trick that maybe I should leave alone.
