The winds coming in from the Gulf of Mexico were brisk when I encountered several Black Skimmers resting on the warm sands of the beach. This very agile bird in flight was laying stretch out in a pile of feathers looking so fragile, in complete contrast to the bird in flight. Not the best of photos, interesting just the same.
