It is a little big when compared to the [older] primes but not big or that heavy compared to other quality zooms. The range of ~24 to 84mm is a very handy one indeed. It can live on my camera at times. The 2.8 aperture might not be fast enough for some situations like when it gets a little less than bright or when you need wide and shallow but there are other lenses for that. This Would you like to buy a vowel?

JeffHanson Goldmember More info Post edited over 7 years ago by Jeff Hanson. | Bobby - I was editing some images I shot last week when I saw your question and put this together to give some idea of how sharp this lens is across the frame even wide open. The second image is a 100% crop of the lower left corner from the first, which was shot at 2.8 and 2000 ISO. Fuji X....BAAAAM! Renders way different than Sony.

Fuji has a $200 discount right now on the lens, so at B&H it's $999. Add the 4% back they offer and your at about $960 shipped, just for comparison. I'd pay the extra hundred for a new copy and warranty. Or, maybe you can get a better deal from the seller if you point that out. Fuji X....BAAAAM! Renders way different than Sony.

Is there anything like 10/11-20mm f2.8 lens for Fuji like that Tokina 11-16mm f2.8, guess not. Fuji XT-1, 18-55mm

But there were a lot of people around, so tighter framing kept out the distractions. Plus, I kind of like emphasizing certain aspects of the aircraft. Fuji X....BAAAAM! And I am hearing good things about 16-55 but so far holding off buying one as I really like Fuji primes. Fuji XT-1, 18-55mm

Bobby you have it covered in your primes. I photographed my home interiors with the 16-55/2.8 and a Samyang 8mm fish [de-fished in pp]. Only one shot escaped me, so I borrowed a 14/2.8 from a fellow x-shooter and those 2mm made a difference. Sold the house in 3 days to, BAM. If I was shooting a house again I get the 10-24 without thinking although I did shot the brochure images for the Ireland part of a rather large companies 2016 catalogue with the Fuji and the 8mm fish & the 16-55, they are very happy with the results as was I to get the gig. Fujifilm cameras and lenses.
