My two YN-560II's are my workhorses for on-location shooting when I need to travel light and can't take my Elinchrom studio heads.
I often do a three-light setup, tossing the 430EXII into the mix, but I'll try to keep my posts in this thread to just my one or two YN-560II's.
1. Main light in a cheap PBL 42" brolly box on a stand just out of frame right, subtle kicker light is bare on a stand just out of frame left.

2. Main light in a shoot-through umbrella just out of frame right, orange gel. Kicker light out of frame left, with aqua gel. Rim light provided by Mr. Sun.

3. Two bare lights, equal power, on tall stands behind the subject (refer to shadows for placement clues). Front light is just reflection from the concrete.

4. Same setup as above, two bare lights at equal power on tall stands. It started raining as soon as we got set up; I took about a half-dozen quick shots then we piled back into the car to go to another location.
