Yeah not really sure if these instructions are for other models, older models or models yet to come but when I could not get the S/N to come up in the flash or on the computer with the firmware software I went looking on the flash itself. It's definitely not very obvious when you first look the flash over as it is on other manufacturers flashes but it is there.

Confirmed!!

It's the same number that appears on a white sticker on the outside of the boxes for both the Mitros+ and the Indra500.

Good day,

I'm kindly asking for support because I have a problem with the flashes I mention below:

My equipment is as follows:
· Canon 40D
· 3 Flashes Mitros+
· Flash trigger transmitter Odin 1.5 for Canon
· Beam infrared (used to photograph going through animals)

The problem is that when something passes the beam, the camera shoots but the flashes don't shoot until the second time the beam is cut. It looks like if the flashes were in auto idle mode.

I've already tried everything I've read in manuals but I can't find the way to disable idle mode AT ALL, even though I selected C.Fn01 = disable (disable auto idle).

Below, I show you the set up I programmed for the flashes:

· ETTL
· MODE: ODIN RX (all of them in channel 1, like the trigger)
· C.FN 00 : 0 (Distance Units = 0 - meters)
· C.FN 01 : 1 (Auto Idle = 1 - Disable)
· C.FN 02 : 0 (Modeling Flash = 0 – Depth of field)
· C.FN 03 : 0 (FEB auto cancel = 0 - Enable)
· C.FN 04 : 0 (FEB sequence = 0 - o --> - --> + )
· C.FN 05 : 0 (Odin Tx Mode = 0 - Enhanced)
· C.FN 06 : 1 (Quick flash) = 1 – Enable)
· C.FN 07 : 0 (Test firing = 0 - 1/32)
· C.FN 08 : 1 (AF ASSIST LIGH = 1- Disable)
· C.FN 09 : 1 (Auto Zoom = 1 – For sensor size)
· C.FN 10 : 0 (Slave Idle timer = 0 - 60 minutes)
· C.FN 11 : 0 (Slave auto OFF - 0 - Tras 8 h)
· C.FN 12 : 0 (Recycle power = 0 – Int and Ext. source)
· C.FN 13 : 1 (Beep confirm = 1 - Disable)
· C.FN 14 : 0 (Auto backlight = 0 - Enable)
· C.FN 15 : +0EV (TTL Pref)

I'd really thank you for your prompt reply since I'm desperate.

Best regards,

Best regards,

This is an issue with the Odin and not your flash. The Odin goes to sleep internally after about 25 seconds of non use. If you just press the shutter button fully in one smooth press or use a remote trigger directly (such as what you are using), then after about 25 seconds of non use you will get a misfire. This is usually not an issue because most people will auto focus or half press the shutter button (a feature also found on some remote triggers when used by hand) before they fully depress the shutter button which usually wakes the Odin up in time to allow you to fully depress the shutter button with no misfire. You can half press the shutter button and then fully depress it too fast as well to where you will get a misfire. Use a Mitros+ in "Odin TX" mode, in place of the Odin, and you will not have this issue.
