Hope this is the right forum for this question.

I think it stands for Factory Repair Center.
A lens that a friend is looking at comes with a 3 year warranty through FRC.

Anyone have any experience with them or info about them?

I was going to answer in the grey market thread but I noticed this one. I have had a total of 3 experiences with 3rd party warranty providers. 2 with Mack and 1 with FRC. In the case of FRC they did get the repair right but only on the 3rd attempt. The end user is responsible for shipping charges so it added up. One more thing you should consider about FRC is their repair policy. The warranty is valid for one repair only on any lens. From their website:

'Once the product is repaired under a warranty claim, a second claim for the same product cannot be submitted. Only one warranty claim can be submitted with a purchase of extended warranty.'

nqjudo,
Thank you very much for that info. I will definitely tell my friend that it isn't quite as good a deal as she thought.

I have found it better to buy from B&H or Adorama and skip all that low price deals that bite you in the end.
