[UPDATE March 10/2015]

I've updated the rules to get more participation, hope it works :-)

Here's a thread where we'll try to get as many members of POTN to post only one picture to this thread, with a recent picture of their choice.

Rules (Copy/paste the rules into your reply to help others)

1. Each member only posts one picture to this thread
2. The picture post can include the rules for later replies
3. Say something about your picture
4. Converse as you wish, have fun :)

Let's see how many members we can get to participate :)

[End of Update]

Snow Day. This was taken Tuesday January 6 just after noon. The snow had stopped falling. I had just finished shoveling the driveway and walkway. This is the lamp in front of our house.

Here is a picture I recently took while out messing with my new 18-135. It's a very "typical" type of shot but I liked it a lot. The red background with the soft golden light made it stand out for me. Hope you all enjoy and excited to see where this thread goes!

I was experimenting with photographing the flame from our christmas morning log. Couldn't decide if I liked the fast shutters or long ones better, but I decided to keep this one because the little lick of fire above the middle of the log.

I saw this little guy flitting about near the Burnside Bridge at Antietam National Battlefield Park. He had a real affinity for the purple shirt that one of the ladies in our party was wearing but did fly back over to the wildflowers on the slope leading away from the creek where I captured this image.
