Embed Gallery image into a post

Hi,
Is it possible to embed my Gallery image into another post? This way I don't keep uploading the same image multiple times, driving up storage costs, bankrupting Pekka and forcing him to go hungry for a few days ?

Yes at the moment I am also trying to figure out if this is possible. I have Issues with Flickr so cannot at the moment log on to post images from there. I'd sooner not have to keep uploading the same image now that we have these rather nice user galleries. Otherwise they are going to become a little full up with duplicates.

Currently it is not possible other than linking to a post where the image was previously used. I seem to recall that originally, Pekka didn't want members to post the same image multiple times as a means of encouraging increased activity in photography (as opposed to just talking about it is my interpretation). During the last several weeks, there have been numerous good arguments presented in support of being able to post an image more than once. I don't know if Pekka has any plans to change this, but I know that he is always open to suggestions with good rationale in support of the requests.

I don't think POTN is in any danger of people not posting images

Given the overly common practice of posting the same image a bajillion times, it just makes sense to link to that one image.

There are valid cases where one image is a candidate for multiple threads.
